Scene switches to Stone’s house. Ben walks up sidewalk carrying a wireless router box and a 1080p HD Wired Security System.  He notices that the front door is ajar. Setting down the packages he enters the house and grabs a baseball bat. He hears and then sees someone rummaging through a closet.

BEN: Who are you?! What do you want?!

LINDSAY: I’m Lindsay! I’m a friend of Grace! Olive forgot her shin guard. She gave me her keys.

Later, Ben, Grace and Lindsay are in the living room. Grace is holding an ice-pack on Lindsey’s head.

BEN: I am sorry. I didn’t know who you were. I thought you were an intruder.

LINDSAY: It’s okay.

BEN: Can I drive you somewhere?

LINDSAY: No, no, I’m good.

Lindsay stands up from the couch and starts to leave. Grace follows him to the door.

GRACE: Lindsay. [SIGHS] I am so sorry. I’ll tell you what, I will do all of your snacks for the next year.

LINDSAY: Grace, Grace, it’s okay. I know you’ve been through a lot. See you at the game next week.

BEN: All right, you need to tell me right now, how many more men have keys? Who else am I gonna find [SIGHS]

GRACE: I was on my own for 5 1/2 years. And all I wished for every day was for you to still be here. But you weren’t here, and so yes, I gathered a village around me. Lindsay helped with Olive’s soccer. Justin fixed the bathroom sink, Rob kept me sane at work. They helped me through an impossibly difficult time. And none of those men are the one man you’re really asking about. You don’t know that man. You’ve never met him. And you will never have to because you came home. You’re finally home.

Grace’s Village

It’s a little curious that Grace’s village didn’t involve any women, but maybe she was just trying to fill the hole left by Ben in the most obvious way. While Ben’s position is pitiable in the situation, your heart has to go out to Grace. She’s not done anything wrong, but she’s the one left with the guilt — she’s betrayed one man she loves and is abandoning another. There’s no way out of the situation without breaking someone’s heart.
