Smile for Me

Scene begins on a beach in Jamaica.

🎵 Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, whaa-ah 🎵
🎵 Smile for me, smile for me 🎵
🎵 Ooh, Lord Oh-oh-oh Yes, I, ah 🎵
🎵 Smile for me, smile for me 🎵
🎵 Ooh, I met a girl this morning 🎵

A bartender serves drinks to two women at a bar, saying “All right, drink up.” One of them responds, “That looks great.”

🎵  She was love at first sight 🎵

On the Beach Forever?

Grandpa Steve walks toward Ben and Grace who are relaxing on cots.

STEVE: We should pack it up, people. Airport shuttle in two hours.

BEN Mnh. [SIGHS] A few more minutes.

Cal and Young Olive are building a sandcastle on the beach.

CAL: Okay, I got some water.

Soft, relaxing music plays.

GRACE: What if we didn’t? Pack it up.

Ben chuckles.

GRACE: What if we just stayed forever on this beach?

BEN: Cal would not object. It’s almost like he forgot he was sick. Even slipped my mind once or twice.

A Mother’s Touch

Elsewhere on the beach, Michaela is walking along the shore when her mom, Karen, approaches.

KAREN: You’re gonna burn.

MICHAELA: Um, hi. Grown woman here, thank you.

KAREN: You may be all grown up, but you will never be too old to need your mother.

Karen rubs some suntan lotion on Michaela’s arms.

MICHAELA: Thank you. Appreciate it.

A Perfect Photo

Cal runs up to them.

CAL: Auntie Mick! We’re done. Wanna be the destroyer?

MICHAELA: No. No way, buddy. I can’t destroy perfection.

The Stone Family gathers around the sand castle to have their picture taken. There is a lot of laughter.

BEN: All right, look, look, look, look, look!

GRACE: Cheese!

BEN: Look, look, look.

The camera clicks.
