Possible Cliff Hanger
As we have seen in the initial promo for S2E13, Mrs. Stone blames Michaela for Calvin's kidnapping albeit, Michaela was not the one to let Calvin go outside after dark in Queens, NY to play with his sparkler. But that's another discussion.
The question is now does she also turn and blame Ben as well? After all, he is basically the source of all the danger, Mrs. Stone's kids have been in this season and last as well. I believe she will and that will be the start of the separation for S3. Mrs. Stone has seen her kid's, especially Calvin in more danger since he has returned than most kids go through in a life time. She has said she does not want to lose him again. Now she has a new little one who is probably in more danger than either Calvin or Olive. What does she do?
First i think she either moves out of sends Ben packing. The logical choice would be to move out. Everyone from the Major to the X'ers know where she and her kids live. Second, does she go back with Danny? My opinion may surprise everyone but I think the producers will introduce a new lover for Mrs. Stone. This new lover will have a little more personality than the Danny character. Let's face it, the Danny character that we all have come to scratch our collective heads about, was extremely boring in his appearances. The only thing interesting about the guy was the crap we all made up about him. Certainly nothing in the show that we can hang out hat on.
The new guy will be handsome, smart, charming and have a last name and a profession. I guess a doctor. He will be a protector, provider, and a great lover and we will see big smiles on the former Mrs. Stone's face most of the time. Olive of course will be off to college and probably partner with her dad on "calling" adventures but Calvin and Eden will be with their mom and the new guy in a safe place.
I could go on with this scenario but I'll leave this as a discussion starter. What do you you guys think? Danny out and Mr. Right moves in and Mrs. Stone gets happy again.
I'm thinking Kristoffer Polaha from the Hallmark Channel. Yeah?
I absolutely love your idea @MaryGrace. Grace's character deserves to be happy (and so does Athena Karkanis who portrays Grace). Coupling her with Danny was a disaster from the very beginning. Danny. The man for whom she got pregnant and had a miscarriage. The man who said he could survive without her; but not without her daughter, Olive. Btw, Grace and Danny never ever shared a kiss or were in bed together on screen since the show first premiered.
Getting rid of Danny was a good thing. Removing Grace out from under of Ben's shadow would be even better. If any character on the show deserves a do-over, it's Grace. It would be intriguing and very entertaining watching Grace manage Eden and Cal on her own. Unfortunately, I don't think it would ever happen.
When it comes to Grace's character, the writers have lacked both the courage and creativity to improve her storyline. Grace will continue to be figuratively written as a character who represents the iconic barefoot and pregnant poster child... who never fails to blame everyone else for her own failures and responsibilities.
From and interview in The Detroit News with Athena Kankanis on April 1, 2020:
The wife of the hero on a television series is often lovely and supportive, as well as one-dimensional and boring.
“We had a long conversation about it. He told me his plans for her and where the character would go – he sold me. I was convinced,” said Karkanis, who has homes in New York City and Toronto. “I read the script and loved the mystery. I loved the human drama around it.”
Seems to me Ms. Karkanis and her agent need to have another discussion with Mr. Rake. Seems he has turned the character back into being "lovely and supportive, as well as one-dimensional and boring."
Here's a promo picture they left out of Grace and Calvin this season. You can se why she and her agent need to have a chat with the producers:
@MaryGrace. Apologizes. The (fake) promo photo you posted said everything that needs to be said. Everything I've watched and read about Athena Karkanis show her to be a sincere, kindhearted, and highly intelligent human being. Unfortunately, and no fault of her own, you and I continue to be gifted with an unlimited number of opportunities to mock the character she portrays.
And the character Athena portrays (Grace) deserves mocking because it has been poorly written and underdeveloped. It's impossible to determine if Grace's character has been a dumpster fire or a train wreck ... or both. I agree. Athena and her agent need to have another chat with the producers.
Unexpected improbable cliff hanger. @MaryGrace. I didn't anticipate the Cuban fishing boat recovering wreckage from what appeared to be part of Flight 828's tail section. Located on the tail section was the plane's logo ... along with the words Montego Airways.
Here is a photo of Flight 828 shortly before landing at Stewart Airport, New York ... 5 and one-half years behind schedule. I thought you'd enjoy the photo because the words Montego Airways are not emblazoned on the plane's tail section. The words Montego Airways are visibly and prominently located on the plane; but not the tail section.
The words Montego Airways on the tail section of the S2 finale wreckage are only a small insignificant error. But how many small insignificant errors do it take to comprise a huge mistake?
