Finn has a one-night stand with Orlena on the night of April 6, 2013, misses his plane the following morning; and ends up on Flight 828 later that day. How am I doing, am I correct so far? Then later in the year, on November 30, 2013; Theo was born. Ben and Saanvi automatically assume that Finn is Theo's father. Why? Because Theo showed up in their shared Calling. A Calling in which Theo was sitting in the seat occupied by Finn during Flight 828's disappearance. It's makes sense, right?

Two things. First, let's do the math. From April 6, 2013 to November 30, 2013 is how long? Almost 8-months? Acceptable or not? Okay. Let's go with acceptable. Second thing. Without a DNA test, how can it be proved 100% Finn is Theo's father. Answer: it can't be proven. Just because Finn was a liver donor match doesn't prove he's Theo's father. Orlena wasn't a match. Does that prove she's not Theo's mother?

It's highly possible the only purpose of Ben and Saanvi's shared Calling was to save Theo's life; not to prove that Finn had a son who needed his help. It's also highly possible the Calling knew that Finn was a liver donor match for Theo. Perhaps, it was the Calling's way of helping a married woman who made a mistake by having a one-night fling in Jamaica; give the man she slept with an opportunity to save her son's life in 2019. Callings work in mysterious ways.

What do you think? Without depending on the results a DNA test, were Ben and Saanvi correct in assuming that Finn was Theo's father? Why was Orlena so easily willing to acknowledge that Finn could have been Theo's father? Were Orlena and her husband practicing sexual abstinence during the entire month of April in 2013? Instead of knocking on Orlena's door, shouldn't Ben have been more tactful in approaching Orlena about Finn? Her husband could have been the one to answer the door. Maybe Ben should have asked for Grace's opinion before talking to Orlena?

Now that Finn has provided Theo with a Liver donation, will Theo receive Callings in the future? Saanvi has already established that Callings can be genetically transmitted to non-828 passengers. She uses Grace's pregnancy as her only example. What about Theo? Will he become Saanvi's statistical example number 2?

Now that Finn has provided Theo with a Liver donation, will Theo receive Callings in the future?

This comment could also be posted under the topic: Unanswered Manifest Questions. But did Finn ever provide Theo with the Liver donation? As I recall, Finn died in the Isaiah-conspired Night Club fire shortly after promising Orlena he would be "his" son's Liver donor. Why was Finn at the Club anyway? To celebrate his Liver donation to the son he never had a chance to know? Was he drinking ... before or after his Liver donation?

Please don't blame me for asking. I'm not the one responsible for this storyline. I know that it doesn't make any difference in the long run, but why introduce a story about an illicit marital affair and a family's life and death medical problems ... and then not neatly wrap a bow around the plot in the end?

Whether it's realized it or not, the producers and writers had have a bad of leaving the audience hanging when it comes to completely ending storylines. Then too, maybe leaving the audience hanging is part of the showrunner's plan. IMHO leaving the audience hanging in storylines like Finn's and never delivering an ending is like peeing on someone's pant's legs while telling them it's raining. Do it one time and maybe it can be forgiven. Do it twice and it becomes a habit that's unforgivable.

Btw on a personal note: Why didn't Finn and Orlena secretly request a DNA test to ensure than Finn was Theo's father? Why not? Orlena had agreed to providing Finn with visitation rights without her husband's permission. Or did Orlena come clean and let her husband know she had cheated on him during her trip to Jamaica? Questions in the ongoing, unending, and disjointed "Soap Opera" known as Manifest like Finn's will probably never be answered.
