What was Grace really thinking?
WTH is really going on with Grace? She suggested that Danny could be named her baby's daddy, that he would play along, and all would be well in the Stone family household? Making such a statement either showed desperation on Grace's part. Or she was trying to kill two birds with one stone (no pun intended). That is, she would have an excuse to take the baby and leave Ben; while at the same time, use Danny as the means to protect her and the baby. In short, Grace immediately wants to rid herself of all the dangerous 828 craziness.
Of course, Ben angrily rejected Grace's idea. But maybe he's too late. A dollar to a doughnut Grace had already ran her idea by Danny. Grace to Danny, "I'll do a television interview and name you the father of my baby." Danny to Grace, "I'll agree; but you'll have to leave Ben and move in with me." Grace to Danny, "No problem. I'll have to see if Ben will agree to the interview first. Once it's publicly announced on television, I'll then let him know I'll be moving in with you."
One thing was crystal clear. Grace had given the "Danny is the baby's daddy" plan a lot of thought. It's not something she came up with on the spur of the moment. She presented the idea to Ben in a calculated and rational manner. And she was serious in how she delivered her idea to Ben. Now that Danny knows that Grace is pregnant and is willing to acknowledge him as the father, what happens next?
What do you think? Has Grace already approached Danny and explained to him, her, "you're the baby's daddy's plan?" Now that Grace is taking additional time off from work, how long will it be before Danny shows up when she's home alone? And who knows, maybe Danny has a "blood marker," which is identical to the one in Ben's blood. Anyway, when it's all said and done; does Grace believe, in her "heart of hearts," that Danny is more capable of protecting her and the baby than Ben?
