Apparently, Michaela, Cal, and Zeke shared a Calling from across time and space. When at the beach house with the catatonic patients, Michaela received the Calling, "Find Her;" where she was simultaneously transported into the middle of a blizzard. This happened when she touched a then catatonic Paul Santino, who instantaneously awakened.

Later, after receiving the same calling "Find Her ... Find Her," Michaela is again transported into the middle of a blizzard. After that, she experiences the "Find Her ... Find Her" Calling a third time. Again there's the blizzard, a hand in the snow, and someone is wearing a red jacket. Michaela explains the voice she's hearing is not her own, but someone else's voice. Then there's Cal. His Calling was more of a physical and painful nature than Michaela's Callings.

That night, Cal is laying in bed and we learn that he is having the same calling as Michaela has been having that day (“Find Her! with a vision of a man walking through a blizzard), except that Cal seems to be more sensitive to it. His hands are on the verge of getting frostbite.

Shortly before Michaela started on her trip to Tannersville to join Ben, Grace, Cal and Zeke; here's part of Michaela's Calling I had completely overlooked until now:

Jared picks something out of her hair. It’s a snowflake. The wind is howling. She sees snow flurries falling around her. Jared notices her looking up at the sky.

WTH, Jared picked a snowflake out of Michaela's hair? It wasn't snowing. It was a sunny, clear, and cold day.

Of course, it was later revealed that Michaela and Cal were sharing images involving Zeke's Calling; which was to "Find Her," i.e., Zeke was supposed to find Michaela. But why? To have sex? For recreational or procreational purposes? Who knows? Callings work in mysterious ways. Michaela and Zeke would later share two more Callings within the first days of finding each other. One when they both hear their own voices say "Go Back;" and they would later experience a Calling involving an incredible breathtaking, otherworldly lightning storm ... superimposed over a cloudless dark sky that's filled with an infinite number of bright stars and constellations.

Here's the $10,000 question. Were the Callings experienced by Michaela and Cal sent before Zeke died or after he had returned? Zeke found shelter from the blizzard in a cave. The magazine shown here was burned to help keep him warm in the cave. Zeke died in a cave, not in a blizzard. It was not snowing when he exited the cave. So, as it involved Zeke, did Michaela and Cal receive Callings from the past ... from 2017 ... via some kind of interdimensional hotline?

Before I forget, here's more info regarding the transdimensional connection between Michaela, Cal, and Zeke.

Zeke said he died in the cave because he was trapped ... frozen in by ice and snow. How did he get out of the cave in which he was trapped? According to him, "Earthquake or avalanche or something. Whole mountain shook, and the ice broke away enough for me to crawl out and, make my way to the first place I found. And to the dead girl I kept telling myself to find."

Zeke is a very lucky soul because in his weaken state he wouldn't have been able to survive another blizzard on his way to the cabin where he found Cal, Ben, and Grace. Especially, in a blizzard like the ones in the images seen by Michaela in her Callings; and with the frostbite symptoms experienced by Cal in his Calling. Obviously, those returning from the dead return in good health. If not, what's the purpose of returning from the dead ... if you're not returning as a Zombie?

Fast forward to months later and what do we have? After Cal reconnected with Zeke at Zeke's mom's apartment, and told him that he and Michaela belonged together. Guess what? Michaela and Zeke are together. At least they are getting together physically when it comes to intimacy. Will Zeke's "lost" wife, Courtney, sever the transdimensional connection between Michaela, Zeke, and Cal? Why didn't Cal see Courtney coming and warn his Aunt Mick? If would be disappointing if he didn't have a drawing with Courtney on it in his Book of Callings.

Michaela, Cal, and Zeke were connected before they met. And they are still connected. What happens next in this connection? How will Jared and Courtney affect this destiny-driven otherworldly connection? If Zeke Landon is the answer to resolving the death date; then James Griffin is the reason why the death date is imminent. Correct or not, Zeke's role in the story is important in helping find a solution to solving the death date? As well as sharing a bed, Michaela and Zeke continue to share Callings. Cal, however, is the key. He's the one who keeps bringing them together ... via the Callings ... at the cabin in the upstate mountains; and to the current time of this transdimensional connected "love" triangle.
